Pachtuv Palace, today The Mozart, has always been a bustling hub for musicians, painters, and artists.
Since the mid 18th century, Count Pachta hosted various classical concerts in the palace for his family and the nobles of Prague.
Nowadays, The Mozart continues to promote tradition, fun and creativity with a series of art exhibitions, concerts, and fireplace talks with artists and art lovers. In our café, courtyards, and conference rooms, we regularly host a stimulating range of events bringing back the arts to Pachtuv Palace and the guests of The Mozart.

The National Theater Prague

Rudolfinum is home to the Czech Philharmonic. It is slightly smaller than the National Theater, but the acoustics are perfect, and the atmosphere is simply magical. The program is rich in soloists’ concerts, chamber music, and special seasonal performances.

Did you know that the world premiere of Mozart’s Don Giovanni was performed at the Estates Theater in Prague? In 1787 Mozart himself directed one of his most famous operas in this theater – today the only theatre left standing where Mozart performed.
Don Giovanni is one of the most controversial and mature operas written by Mozart, where comedy is blended with melodrama and supernatural elements.
Shhhh… legend says that the character of Don Giovanni, the Commendatore, is drawn on Giacomo Casanova, the famous Italian explorer who is thought to have met Mozart at Pachtuv Palace!
The program of the Estates Theater includes many of Mozart’s operas such as Così fan tutte (All Women Do It), Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute), and Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro’s Wedding), and many more!
The State Opera is another exciting institution where operas are performed almost every evening. Ideally located off Wenceslas square, and five minutes driving from The Mozart. Well-known artists execute operas of world-famous composers from Verdi through Wagner to Dvořák…The theater itself is charming: discover it yourself with your very own night at the opera.
